BEHOLD, I AM NEW.
We know this to be true because of what Jesus has done for us and He is the Savior of our lives. We know He has forgiven our sins and past identities because of Him being the perfect sacrifice. He died on that cross and defeated death so that we can live victoriously in Him. Why is it though, we still feel defeated even knowing this truth?
Why is it we still feel unworthy to be loved by the Father? Why is it that we have been saved by grace, and yet, we don’t fully believe that Jesus really sacrificed Himself for everything? And I mean EVERYTHING. We know it to be true that the same Holy Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the SAME Spirit that lives inside us, yet, we are still wrestling with so many fears and bondages.
Far too long I knew I was saved and forgiven for my sins. Which is the truth! Oh how I am forgiven by the blood of Jesus. Oh how He has made the way to the Father where I can come to Him pure and clean. Yet, I didn’t fully believe I was a new creation.
I knew I was forgiven, but I wasn’t free.
This is where God has given us The Helper. We can’t fathom this foundational truth on our own strength of how God sees us and how He loves us. This is why God the Father sent His Son. This is why Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17
This is the truth! This is what God says to you and to me as we have been covered by the atoning sacrifice of His beloved Son. Now we can have this access to The Father by His Spirit to walk as His New Creation and in His freedom.
SISTERS! GOD HAS GIVEN US HIS VERY BEST SO WE CAN WALK IN HIS VICTORY!
Jesus paid it all for our shame, our guilt, our past unto Himself on that cross so that we can take on HIS IDENTITY and walk in FREEDOM! He has given us His Spirit as our Helper to draw us to our Jesus, to show us we are a new creation, and He is drawing us to our Father’s voice.
Oh how He loves us.
I know there are days where the enemy’s voice seems louder than the Fathers, but you have His victory and His light and the enemy no longer has bondage over you because you are free!
I know there are days when it seems like you have no more strength, but oh, He is your strength.
I know there will be things on this side of eternity that will try to rob you of the joy only Jesus can bring you. Take heart, it will not always be like this. He is showing us glimpses of His Kingdom on earth so we long for our true home.
Oh Jesus, how we love you!
Keep fixing your eyes on Jesus, call upon the name above all names in the authority and freedom because of Jesus.
He is so good!
“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
Ephesians 3:14-21
