God Still Does Not Leave Us Without Hope

ree

As the end of the year approaches we will begin to look back and reflect.

For some, maybe it has been the year you experienced a breakthrough and you are in awe of who God is.

For some, maybe this year was the hardest year you ever faced and you are holding on for dear life to the truth.

No matter what you have experienced this year, what trials or tribulations you may have faced, we have confidence in this truth:

God still does not leave us without HOPE.

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭

Our hope is not in our circumstances.

Our hope is not in our jobs.

Our hope is not in our own strength.

Our hope is not in this world.

Our hope is in JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus, whose first coming was not with a sword, but as a child.

Jesus, who would minister to all people the truth that would set them free.

Jesus, who would be rejected and still choose the cross and crucified for us to die for our sins.

Jesus, who defeated death and was resurrected on the third day so that we have victory in HIM.

Jesus, who turned the sinner into Son or Daughter of the KING.

Jesus, who has given us the future hope HE WILL come back for His bride and make all things new. (Revelation 21)

You are not defined by the year you had, but as you reflect, may you remember who holds your life.

That God has not left you nor forsaken you. He has given you the hope of new life in Christ and we have the opportunity to share this hope whether it was the best year or the hardest year of your life, God will use your story to show His hope in you and through you.

“Our soul waits for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. For our heart is glad in him, because we trust in his holy name. Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us, even as we hope in you.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭33‬:‭20‬-‭22‬ ‭
