TRUST ME - BECAUSE I LOVE YOU & I GOT THIS

Updated: Aug 12, 2023

What do you do when you can’t sleep and there are so many things running through your mind?

So. Many. Things.

Sometimes it’s making a work deadline, and sometimes it’s a frantic schedule that leaves you wondering how you’re going to make everything happen. But maybe, just maybe, the things keeping you awake are  actually GOOD things. But in your mind you're thinking, “God is blessing me in this specific way, but is it really from Him?”

And then doubt comes.

“Maybe I’ll ask my friends tomorrow,” you think. "For now, I’ll just scroll through Instagram & take some buzzfeed quizzes to help me fall back asleep.”

“God help me go back to sleep.”

“Well...here I am, stuck.”

This isn’t about a sleeping pattern. The root of this restlessness may be this:

Do you trust Him?

When life is going 100 mph and you’re at the end of your own strength, do you trust Him?

When everything is falling apart and all you can think about is how it’s going to work for your good, do you trust Him?

When God is showing you a new thing, but you can’t believe it because it seems too good to be true, will you trust Him?

We have all been in these two seasons: seasons of hardship & seasons of new beginnings. We know that God’s got this, but there are still times when we have to cry out from our souls to our Heavenly Father and say, “God, I trust you.”

It’s easy to say the words, but do we believe when He says:

"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you.” Isaiah 43:1-2

Or what Romans 8:28 says,

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”

This is God’s promise and His heart for us. He is the one who knows everything about us. He knows our pain, struggles, and fears; AND He knows what brings us joy, what we love, and exactly what we need, even if we can’t see it or we run from it.

You have nothing to fear, daughter. Even amidst the doubts, you may have the anxiety of “is this really from God?” or if you are simply at the end of yourself - HE HAS YOU.

And when we realize that, there is HIS PEACE that truly does surpass all understanding. It’s not about us trying to figure it out during the sleepless nights, because it is God who is leading your story and He is going to take care of you.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.”

Ecclesiastes 3:11
