THE REAL ENEMY

We need to remember who our real enemy is.

It's not our neighbors complaining about every little sound and thing that's out of place on our yard.

It's not the people who cut us off on the freeway leaving ABSOLUTELY no room for us except to use our brakes.

It's not Muslims, it's not Isis, it's not policemen, it's not blacks, it's not whites, it's not gays or lesbians, it's not Target, it's not politicians, it's not churches that aren't EXACTLY like yours, it's not the people you serve but never say thank you for the hard work you've done, it's not religion...

We need to remember who the real enemy is.

Our enemy laughs at us and our divisive ways. He chuckles at us when we aim our poison at each other. He basks in our hateful thoughts towards GODS CHILDREN. He is loving the attention we put on each other because - guess what? - it takes all the attention off of him. He scrapbooks every moment we slander, every moment we spew poison, he takes pride in us when we allow bitterness and hatred to crowd our hearts.

Yes, there are people who wrong us. Yes, there are people who deserve judgment BUT we need to remember who the real perpetrator is.

He introduced us to sin. He introduced us to lying and deceiving.

THE REAL ENEMY IS SATAN.

But our focus should not be on him. It should be ON CHRIST.

"O our God, will You not judge them? For we are powerless before this great multitude who are coming against us; nor do we know what to do, BUT OUR EYES ARE ON YOU." 2 chronicles 20:12

"Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God's interests, but man's." Matthew 16:23

Let us place our focus on the things ABOVE. In so doing, we are crippling satan from fully completing his work: to take as many souls with him to the lake of fire that he can.

I pray wisdom for you today. That you may live a righteous life GLORIFYING CHRIST.

Remember who your real enemy is.

He does not win the victory.
